Indigènes

Here sit I at the Edge of the World
beyond flow rivers without water
shadows drawer nearer What Is.
Human Beings fear the end.

In my boyhood I ran for days
through the World.
There was little beyond –
save shadows on the horizon
Human Beings were happy.

What Is lies crouched in danger.
Manhood dances now emasculated,
many Humans Beings leave
past the Edge of the World.

The Termites have killed us I fear.
What Is draws to a close
and the Human Beings
speak no more.

Shadows. The World is shadows.

    Very sad and unfortunately true.

    1. Yes, and getting worse. Only 6% of the original Atlantic forest remains, and the Brazilian forest is heading for the same statistic.

Once, a single forest covered the entire eastern half of the United States.

Yes these facts make me Sick and very angry.

Man will not be content until he destroys this planet! Makes me feel so powerless

    1. Same here. I keep imagining how the U.S. must have looked, with a single forest covering a thousand miles.
