If I Could Mount Your Love

If I could mount your love
on display for the world to see
they would marvel at your tender strength
see the bold reds of your enduring pain
sequestered beneath your smile

the temperate pools of your touches
would spill into inevitable
waterfalls of emotion,
sometimes torrents, heated by
your muted sufferings, and
though each brush stroke
is designed, the painting
you have become
exceeds even the universe’s
imaginings

Is this from your reserve file too?

    1. No, I wrote this today. 🙂 You’re welcome.

Well thank you it’s beautiful, but I never like to assume anything as you are always telling me that your pieces are not autobiographical, or that you “wrote it years ago”. What is a girl to do? 🙂

        1. I think it’s important for me to be honest. I still have a ton of old junk I never “finished.” I should probably note when it’s a new piece, since I’m finally starting to write poetry again.
